Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning (sometimes also known as blading) is often considered an alternative to dermabrasion in most situations. Dermaplaning, like microdermabrasion and dermabrasion, is a safe and effective process used to eliminate surface imperfections of the facial skin such as wrinkles, dark spots, facial hair, and acne scarring. Dermaplaning is a method of removing the outermost layer of skin and small fine vellus hair (often called peach fuzz) using a sterile surgical blade that is gently rubbed against the skin in the same motion of shaving. Dermaplaning is primarily used on the face. A mild peeling agent is used in combination with the dermaplaning tool to increase the amount of skin removed. This process triggers the regeneration of skin cells. How Long Does Treatment Last? Is it Painful? Dermaplaning is typically a painless procedure, requiring no anesthetic.
